It takes about 2 months – 8 months to form a new behavior and habit
Meaning of habit - A recurrent, often unconscious pattern of behavior that is acquired through frequent repetition:
Routine - a sequence of actions regularly followed; a fixed program/ plan/formula/method
Custom – Tradition/practice/observance/way/practice/ceremony
Wont - in the habit of doing something; accustomed - And he came out, and went, as he was WONT, to the mount of Olives (Luke 22:39)
Rule - regulation, ruling, directive, order, act, law, statute, edict, canon, mandate, command, dictate, decree, fiat, injunction, commandment, stipulation, requirement, guideline, direction; formal ordinance
Norm - something that is usual, typical, or standard
Way - a method, style, or manner of doing something/ method, process, procedure, technique, system; plan, strategy, scheme; means, mechanism, approach
Design - intention, aim, purpose, plan, intent, objective, object, goal, end, target; hope, desire, wish, dream, aspiration, ambition/ plan, blueprint, drawing, sketch, outline, map, plot, diagram, draft, representation, scheme, model
Propensity - an inclination or natural tendency to behave in a particular way./ tendency, inclination, predisposition, proneness, proclivity, readiness, liability, disposition, leaning, weakness
Successful people do daily what unsuccessful people do occasionally
Successful people have a plan which includes a sequence of actions that they follow daily
Successful people follow a proven formula daily
Successful people find a method that fits them that they can live with daily
Successful people use daily objectives to reach a goal
Jesus made a habit of doing the will of God
As his custom was he would go to the Synagogue for worship (Luke 4:16)
Consistent in prayer (Luke 22:39-45)
Made a habit of Knowing the Jewish scripture until he astounded the religious leaders at the age of 12
He never did anything except
He made a habit of knowing who he was (Jn. 14)
Be not conformed to the patterns-habits of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Rom. 12:2)
