  • Lust of other things causes worry – The lust of other things causes worry because “things” cannot fulfill what only God can.

  • Not understanding the Word of God causes worry because Satan comes immediately – Matthew 13:19

  • Worry never seeks prayer as a solution – Philippians 4:6 declares to be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer to let your request be made known unto God. When prayer is vacant then worry tries to step in and take over. Luke 18:1 also declares men aught always to pray and not faint (lose heart).

  • Worry Fears the Future - Matthew 6:34 - Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

  • “Worry is filled with Unbelief that says that prayer won’t work - Luke 18:1 - And He spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray and not to faint,

  • Worry seeks out what seems logical – Proverbs 3:6 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

  • Worry does not like to respond to problems. One of the reasons for worry is because some people are not willing to take the responsibility of responding, hoping that the problem will somehow just go away on its own. When reality sets in so does the possibility for worry – Satan was God’s problem in heaven before the fall but God did not worry about him and his followers, “he dealt with the problem” (Isaiah 14)

Worry does not come from God because it does not bring good and lasting results – James 1:17 - Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Worry does not have the right answers that it thinks it does – Proverbs 14:12 - There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is the ways of death.

Worry has no foresight so is constantly hit with problems that could have been avoided - A prudent man seeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.

Worries actions seem reasonable – Abraham and Sarah worried about their age and inability to conceive so created Ishmael.
